Undergraduate and graduate students who have the eligibility to work in the United States can apply to the Obama Foundation for the internship in different departments located in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Interns will assist in the execution of administrative, logistical, and operational work at the Obama Foundation.
The purpose of the internship is to produce qualified leaders in different capacities. It will provide the interns access models of leadership and experience practical work.

Internship duration: 14 weeks
Beginning date: September 4, 2018
Ending date: December 7, 2018
Quarter system student’s internship beginning date: September 17, 2018
Quarter system student’s internship ending date: December 21, 2018
Location: Chicago and Washington, D.C.
Working hours: 40 hrs. per week
Application opening date: April 23, 2018
Application closing date: May 14, 2018
Result notification: 15 June to 15 July, 2018
Who can apply?
- Must be an undergraduate and post-graduate student
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Are strong writers and researchers
- Enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Allowed to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old at the application time
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
A $1,500 stipend is given to interns for expenses directly related to the internship, for a total of up to $3,000. To be noted that the Foundation will not provide accommodation or housing assistance.
