Opportunity Description
There are scholarships offered by the United States embassy in Kabul for female Afghan students to study their bachelor’s degree at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA).
US embassy in Kabul funds this scholarship program for the 2020-2025 Academic cycle. This is a fully-funded scholarship that covers all the expenses during your studies at AUCA and a one-year preparatory program at the NEW General Academy.

This is a fully-funded scholarship that covers the following:

- Monthly stipend of $200 for the food expenses

Who can apply
Any afghan students who meet the following requirements can apply:
- Obtain/Have obtained the high school graduation certificate (Shahadatnama ) at the time of applying
- Be living in Afghanistan when the application is starting and processing
- college freshmen and First-year university students can also apply.
- Have English language proficiency (oral and written)
- Show the evidence of commitment to return back to their home countries after the completion of their studies.
- Have leadership potential, professional aptitude, and academic excellence
- Ability to start their studies in September 2020
Note: those who are living, working, or studying outside of Afghanistan, the students who have not completed their high school, and the 2nd year’s students of universities are not eligible to apply to this scholarship. the US. Citizens and employees of the US embassy and AUCA/ AUAF cannot apply.

Important notes:
- AUCA has the right to suspend any application found with illegal documents or content.
- applicants without diplomas can submit their certified three-year high school grades from their related school administration and provincial education department.
Exam
Applicants are required to participate AUCA exam including a paper-based ELPT exam that last 80 minutes and consisting of:
- the structure and written expression
- reading comprehension,
- essay with additional 30 minutes to write
- Interview; testing speaking language skills – 15 minutes.
- Qualified semi-finalists candidates will be notified and invited for the final interview.
