Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Teach as a member of a teaching team in the framework of an established program of study.
  •  Teach in various settings from small group tutorials to large lectures, ensuring content, methods of delivery and learning materials fulfill the defined learning objectives for individual teaching sessions.
  •  Prepare own teaching materials, methodologies, and approaches taking into consideration established or agreed practices where necessary.
  • Supervise the work of students, provide guidance on study skills, and help them with learning problems.
  • Set and mark assignments and prepare examination questions as well as evaluating the work and progress of students in reference to the defined criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Seek ways of improving performance by reflecting on teaching design, delivery, obtaining, and analyzing feedback.
  • Plan his/her own daily lesson plan within the framework of the agreed program.
  • Coordinate own work and that of others to prevent conflict or duplication of effort.
  • Utilize teaching resources and facilities as appropriate.
  • Handle routine communication using a range of media outlets.
  • Deal with problems that may affect the delivery of your own teaching.
  • Contribute to decisions impacting the work of the team.
  • Develop initiative, creativity, and judgment in using appropriate approaches to learning and teaching support and scholarly activities.
  • Assume responsibility in deciding how to deliver modules and rate students.
  • Contribute to collaborative decision making with colleagues on academic content and on the evaluation of students’ work.

Job requirements

  • At least a Master’s Degree, but a Ph.D. degree is desirable.
    2 to 3 years (as a lecturer) in any national or international university.
    Strong knowledge of English.
    Good communication skills (Speaking, Writing, and Comprehension)
    Computer skills in (MS Office, Email and Internet skills)
    Competencies and personal qualities: Confidence, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Problem-solving skills, and Leadership skills.
    Research Skills: Possess research knowledge.
