About Sanayee Development Organization (SDO):

Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, founded in 1990 in Peshawar – Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in there. SDO is named after a well-known Afghan poet Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, (1088 – 1166 A.D.), one of Afghanistan’s most exceptional poets.

SDO extended its services and relocated to Kabul – Afghanistan In 2002, setting forth the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, advanced and self-sustaining Afghan society through the providing services to vulnerable and underprivileged people in remote and underserved rural areas of the country in the Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development sectors.

Job Summary

SDO is hiring 18 Lab Technicians who will work in the districts of Kabul city in fulfillment of the organization’s missions. You can apply for these positions if you are interested and eligible.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Performing the duty in the official hours and being in charge of all affairs related to the lab;
  • Taking the sample in time and sending it to the relevant section;
  • Guaranteeing the certain protection of lab materials, recording the consumption material and re-equipping the stock in a timely manner;
  • Preparing and arranging the lab treatment registry book in a precise way;
  • Appropriately maintaining the slides to ensure quality control and eliminating all the expired lab materials in time and according to policy;
  • Monthly reporting to surveillance supervisor on the status of receiving and spending lab materials if required;
  • Preparing the lab material acquisition request under surveillance team doctor’s guidance;
  • Upgrading the information and expertise level and getting information on national guidelines;
  • Providing health training to clients;
  • Having appropriate awareness to apply quality assurance standards;
  • Sending the slides for checking in a timely manner;
  • Refreshing the lab’s stock cards daily;
  • Submitting the reports in a specific time and sending the lab material request in a specific time; and
  • Maintaining IPC and implementing all rules and regulations.

Job Requirements

1. Education and competencies:

  • Graduate of a recognized and MoPH-registered health institutes in the areas of technology and laboratory
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the field of the lab.
  • Have robust professional and public relations skills
  • Professional communication and writing skills in local languages and as well as the English language.
