About the job:

Also, the incumbents will be responsible for data collection of 7 Health facilities at the central hospital of 7 provinces and District Police Stations in all 34 provinces.

Job summary

HPRO is hiring 34 mobile enumerators who will work in their respective provinces. Eligible applicants can apply for these research-related positions.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform data collection of Health Facilities where COVID19 cases are cared for, police stations, and households in the form of Qualitative and Quantitative data;
  • Fill the questionnaire and visit secure/insecure areas based on the needs of monitoring to selected districts in 34 provinces
  • Communicate with the local authority and local staff of the health centers + police stations at the 34 provincial levels and inform them of the survey reasons.
  • Carry out quantitative data collection of the services being provided to the people, and using the heightened kits in a good manner.
  • Hold direct interviews with key informants/staff as per the questionnaire, recording and transcribing them.
  • Keep good records and compile the survey collected filled questionnaires in accordance with the plan and checklist and report them timely to the Project Manager in Central Office.
  • Review each questionnaire for accuracy, clarity handwriting codes, maps, and pictures that are showing the site of the data collection is properly visited filed & sent to the regional center or Kabul.
  • Pre-prepare your work assets, material in advance, as initially planned during the training and by the team leader or project manager in Kabul.
  • Maintain daily properly contacts (submit the report of data collection situation) to the field coordinator, team leader project manager in Kabul.
  • Ensure the progress of work, time, number, and location is reported timely.
  • Make sure that the health facility and police station’s staff are informed timely and agree on your answered questionnaires.
  • Make sure and conduct observation tasks within the necessary planned time.

Job requirements

  • The Mobile enumerator must be Paramedics (doctor, nurse, lab-technician, logistics and must be originally from the province where he can go to secure/insecure area.
  • Previous community or health facility survey experience is an addition.
  • Familiarity with tablets and smartphone usage
  • Has a good understanding of English, Pashto, and Dari languages
  • Ready to travel in the province and visit health facility and police station in the province as part of the data gathering.
  • Knowledge of geographical context, security, local health authorities of the area, and culture is a benefit.
  • Time Management and communication skills are the key responsibility of mobile enumerators.
  • Evident experience in survey qualitative/quantitative data collection from the health facilities or similar.
  • Should be able to coordinate with people, health facility personnel, and local elders/authorities
  • Ability to organize & priorities workload independently, applying initiative when appropriate.
  • Demonstrable experience in local geography.
  • Good command of Dari and Pashto as well as English, and able to use mobile/internet/GIS sets.
  • Ability to work with minimal observation.
  • At least have a Bachelor or 14th-grade Certificate and experience in data collection or education is an asset.

Reporting requirements

The position holder will be functionally accountable to the field coordinator, provincial monitors, team leader, project manager, and administratively to the operations director.
