Job summary

Citizen Charter/MRRD is recruiting 34 male provincial monitoring officers who will work in the respective province.

The Provincial Monitoring Officer will work under the daily observation of the PMU Manager and technical supervision of the Main PMU Monitoring Officer and Senior Monitoring and Supervision Officer with the close cooperation of other provincial/district staff to undertake the overall monitoring of National Food Bank (Dastarkhan-e-Mili) project interventions at the field level to gather the desired and correct data using the Monitoring Forms in line with the requirements of Dastarkhan-e-Mili Program/M&E Division and other stakeholders; record the data accurately and in timely manners and provide detailed notes if necessary.

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities  

·         Organize the monitoring visits to the communities.

·          Ensure coordination and collaborative contacts with CCAP Provincial Manager, District Manager, field staff, Main PMU Monitoring officer, Monitoring-Data Analysis and Reporting Unit, and other related provincial staff for effective execution of the Dastarkhan-e-Mili monitoring to deliver a quality service at the field level.

·         Share the monitoring results with the Provincial Management Unit (PMU) for taking actions accordingly and also share the same report with Monitoring-Data Analysis and Reporting Unit at HQ.

·         Share a short report of the progress made by the PMU upon the findings with the Monitoring-Data Analysis and Reporting Unit at HQ.

·         Attend the District/provincial meetings and workshops (if needed) to identify how each member contributes to program success and to coordinating work activities.

·         Prepare a monthly monitoring work plan that comprises a representative sample of Dastarkhan-e- Mili covered communities. The Work Plan to be submitted to the Main PMU Monitoring officer and concerned provincial manager.

·         The incumbent is required to prepare the monthly plan in coordination with field staff in order to ensure facilities to monitor the distribution event are available.

·         Ensure that all arrangements and coordination necessary for the monitoring visits are organized with the provincial manager.

·         Enter the collected monitoring data in the web-based monitoring database at the provincial level in a timely manner.

·         Develop a proper and standard filling system for the M&E forms/reports and any evidence captured during the monitoring visits.

·         Create success stories, case studies, and best practices examples and submit to the M&E Division for more dissemination.

·         Take pictures and videos on different activities of Dastarkhan-e-Milli, such as the social mobilization, awareness and monitoring sessions, etc.
maintain close coordination with the CCNPP Sr. Regional Communication Officer and provide some required data for them.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

The applicant must meet the requirements of the job below.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, BBA, and any other relevant field, with two years of relevant work experience.
  • Be fluent in both National Languages (Dari and Pashto)
  • Ability to use the Internet and a strong knowledge of computer applications i.e. MSWord, Excel.
  • Data analysis and report writing skills.
