Job Summary

SCA is looking to hire 41General Surgery Specialist who will work in Sayed Abad District of Maidan Wardak province.

Job Description:

General working area: diagnosing and treating the general surgery cases in the hospitals’ patients.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

• Properly diagnosing and treating the general surgery patients in a timely manner,
• Training doctors, nurses, and the hospital’s on-the-job training program beneficiaries,
• Providing sufficient care to hospitalized and recovering patients,
• Working for SCA’s provincial office in Wardak during official hours and following the Nukriwali timetable as prepared,
• Maintaining the record of date and treatment of patients according to existing guideline and forms in a credible manner,
• Responsible for carrying out the pre-surgery checkups,
• Responsible to get the patient or the patient’s relatives agreed with the operation,
• Paying serious attention to hygiene conditions in daily practices,
• Responsible to implement norms and protocols if they exist; and if they don’t, have to develop them,
• Actively participating in preparing and implementing hospital’s workplace on-the-job training programs,
• Seeking to better inform himself of the best practices in place as well as national guidelines, and
• As required, should contribute to monitoring activities of clinics as well.

Job Requirements

• Graduated from a reputable medical university and possess a specialist diploma in general surgery.
• Experience in performing all the procedures of general surgery independently
• At least five years’ experience in GS
• Have a kind personality and good manner of conduct
• Be able to work in the above-mentioned district.
• Hold Afghan citizenship
