Opportunity Description

Introduction

Afghanistan’s Attorney General’s Office (AGO), in a trilateral agreement with the Civil Services Institute and German Agency for International Development (GIZ), is launching an internship program for the 1398 and 1399 graduates of Law and Shariat Faculties of government universities for the Solar Year 1400. The intended internship program is supported by GIZ financially and technically and by Civil Services Institute technically.

Details of the internship program

Deadline: 1399/11/10 or 2021/01/29

Institution: Attorney General’s Office (AGO)

Internship duty stations: Kabul (AGO) and provinces (provincial directorates)

Number of internships: 64

The program offers 40 internships to applicants in Kabul for the duration of one year and 24 other internships at the provincial Appeal Directorates for six months.

Provincial duty stations: Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Baghlan, and Jawzjan

Note: 70% of the program is allocated to females and 30% is allocated to male applicants.

Benefits

  • The interns, after the recruitment, shall be paid a specific amount of money by GIZ.
  • Upon the conclusion of the program, the AGO does not assume the responsibility to recruit program graduates.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants should meet the criteria below to be eligible.

  • Have a national ID card;
  • Have graduated from Islamic Studies (Shariat) or Law Faculties from public universities in 1398 or 1399;
  • Do not already possess any work experience in government institutions or judicial sectors and have not undertaken any internship at AGO or GIZ before;
  • Have a commitment to practical work period and observe the attendance;
  • Be between the ages of 22-30 years;
  • Have proficiency in one of the official languages (Dari or Pashto); and
  • Familiarity with computer Office package programs.
