Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA) is a non-governmental and non-political charity organization working in the fields of Sustainable Livelihood, Human Rights Promotion, Civil Society Consolidation, Returnees/IDPs Protection, and Reintegration in Afghanistan. CRDSA was founded in 2002 and is currently active in Herat, Farah, Ghor, Nimroz, and Badghis provinces.

Job summary:

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide legal assistance services with regard to representation before the court to the project’s target beneficiaries.
  • Deliver on-the-job training both theoretically and practically to interns (graduates and/or seniors of law and Sharia faculties) under project provision.
  • Offer legal advice to project beneficiaries at district and community levels as well as a telephone helpline.
  • Work closely with the project manager and the social mobilizers to identify women and children victims of crimes and victims of corruption-related crimes in project target sites.
  • Address the personal judiciary-related problems/cases through working closely with the relevant government departments.
  • Communicate closely with government departments and try to launch a scheme through the legal Aid Support Center to improve sustainability in the provision of such legal aid services.
  • Advocate in the different government entities regarding the implementation of the laws.
  • Connect to provincial justice departments and attorneys to introduce potential beneficiaries to refer to them for asking legal support.
  • Deliver professional input relevant to the legal field to manage the project, project team, and interns.
  • Provide legal guidance to project beneficiaries, by his/her own or through interns at PLASC.
  • Provide training materials as per the needs.
  • Plan, schedule, and present theoretical training of the intern
  • Amplify the performance assessment of AGO and provide legal guidance to the project coordinator/manager and relevant team.
  • Provide legal messages for innovative digital technology
  • Produce and submit a bi-weekly plan and monthly report to the Project Coordinator / Project Manager.
  • Take part in advocacy activities are necessary.

 Job requirements:

1. Qualifications/education and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters or equivalent degree in the field of law and justice;
  • Having a Defense attorney license from AIBA is mandatory
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Exceptional analytical skills; mature judgment pooled with a proactive, energetic attitude to problem-solving.
  • Brilliant language is written and speaking skills and appropriate legal understanding.
  • Must be able to visit and work in project district areas.
  • At least three years’ experience of advocacy in the human rights and/or anti-corruption programs in Afghanistan.
  • Having 2 years of experience working as a legal advisor
