Opportunity Description

The Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah and the Mohammadia School of Engineering (LERMA) of Mohamed V University in Rabat in a corporate hand, provide prizes for the best participants of agent-based simulation (ABS) in Islamic Finance.

The award will be given to the Young Master or Ph.D. researchers/students as an encouragement to using new technology in Islamic finance and economics and special use of agent-based modeling.

The purpose of the award is to motivate and inspire the participants from all over the world to use and apply ABS to different parts of Islamic economics and finance.

  • Submission deadline: 31 October 2019
  • Winner announcement date: 1 January 2020
  • Award ceremony: March 2020

Number of the winners: 5

Award for the winners:

  • $ 5000 for the first winner
  • $ 3000 for the second winner
  • $ 2000 for the third winner
  • $ 1500 for the fourth winner
  • $ 1000 for the fifth winner
  • Medal of commemorative
  • Certificate

Eligibilities:

  • Participants must be a student of a Master degree in Ph.D.
  • 2019 Ph.D. doctors.

Required documents:

  • Proof document of university enrolment.
  • Update CV.
  • ABS model and code.
  • Research paper/proposal with the criteria below:
    • A short abstract about 100-150 words.
    • Keywords up to 5.
    • Must be in word format with Time New Roman font, 12 pts size, and 2.0 line and paragraph.
    • The submission paper should be original and must not be published before.
    • The research paper and mode should meet the Islamic economics and finance requirements and area.
