Athens Photo World (APW) organizes Athens Photo World Award to promote photography and photojournalism works. The main objective of this award is to familiarize the public with the contribution of contemporary photojournalism to recording history as it is written through an effort to encourage the photojournalists from around the globe and support their commitment to their work and vision.

Exhibition and result:

the result will be announced in August 2020 and the winning project will be presented in the coming years Athens Photo World festival with an individual exhibition of the photographer.

Who can apply?

this award is offered for ongoing or complete photojournalism or documentary photography project created between Jan 2018 and July 2020.

How to apply?

Applicants who are interested in Athens Photo World Award can submit a portfolio of twelve photographs with an explanatory text and a brief resume online using the apply button.

• 1-99 projects per submission
• 1-12 images per project
• File type of image must be JPG with least 3000 px on the long edge.
