Salzburg Global Seminar started The Salzburg Global Forum for Young Cultural Innovators (YCI) in 2014, which is a ten-year project launched to engage fifty of the world’s most dynamic young creative changemakers every year. Because young innovators who work in the sectors related to the culture and arts sector provide some of the most visionary new impulses for social improvement and sustainable development around the globe today. These innovators change the way we see and interact with each other. Young artists, creative entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders have demonstrated creative vision, talent, and energy required for our societies to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Eligibility

  • Between 25 – 35 years old
  • Proficiency in the English Language
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in the culture and arts sector (professionally)
  • Intention to become an active member of the YCI global network and To be ready to dedicate energy, time and other resources
  • Have the purpose of bringing social change and reinforce the position of cultural and art institutions inside your community.
  • Show creativeness when handling work, action orientation, openness to risk-taking, and entrepreneurial action and tendencies.
  • Your approach to work is cross-sectoral, and you can show your interest in making cross-sectoral partnerships/alliances beyond the cultural sector.
  • Display and demonstrate enthusiasm, passion, and leadership potential through recommendations, awards, prizes, and citations.

How to apply:

To apply to Salzburg Forum Young Innovators, please fill the online application form and submit the documents includes the following:

  • A personal statement of maximum 500 words describing the following:
    • The motivation behind your application plus the biggest challenge you are facing right now in your work.
    • What contribution are you going to have for global and local YCI network
    • The impact of your participation on your community
  • A short bio (a sample included in the application form)
  • A headshot photo
  • A resume/CV (2 references with their emails)
