If you are a doctoral student who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering, then you can apply for the Facebook fellowship program and emerging scholar award.

Fellowship Award includes the following;

  • Tuition and fees for the academic year (up to 2 years)
  • $37,000 grant for each year (one time payment)
  • $5,000 for travel support
  • Paid visit to Facebook headquarters to present research
  • Opportunity for a paid internship at Facebook

Eligibilities

You should meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Facebook Fellowship Program:

  • Be a full-time PhD student, currently involved in on-going research
  •  Your work must be related to one or more relevant disciplines
  • Be enrolled during the academic year fellowship is awarded
  • Citizen of any country who is enrolled in an accredited university in any country can apply
  • First or 2nd year PhD students who are members of a minority group that is underrepresented in the technology sector have the option of being evaluated for an emerging scholar award

You can apply online by filling the application form and provide the supporting documents before the application:

  • 1-2 page research summury
  • Resume or CV with email, phone, mailing address and applicable coursework noted.
  • 2 letters of recommendation. Please provide reference email addresses and one reference must be from an academic advisor.
