The HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P)  is designed for researchers, community activists, civil society representation, journalism who are access to limited resources. The program offered interdisciplinary knowledge-exchange on HIV vaccines, microbicides, Prep, treatment as prevention and biomedical interventions, and social and behavioral implications.  Note: the program will cover all and only the registration fee. It will be given based on the fund’s availability in a highly competitive process.

Eligibilities:

Research scholarships:

  • Applicants who are actively engaged with HIV prevention research, and graduate from related faculty or is a junior faculty with two years of appointment.
  • Applicants will be conducted basic science research, improvements of products, pre-clinic or research clinic, social and behavioral science, and public health.
  • Must apply for the first round to HIVR4P 2020.

Community scholarships:

  • Applicants who are engaged as a community advocate, educator, care provider, or in a related prevention-focused role in HIV prevention.
  • Must be able to present the gathered knowledge of the conference to communities.

Journalist fellowship:

Any journalist who is reporting on HIV must have the following criteria:

  • Media organization impact.
  • Experience in related areas.
  • Geographic location.
  • Must be motivated and willing to participate in the fellowship.
