About the conference

Gladly, you can now apply to London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) 2021. It is the largest university-level Model United Nations conference in Europe. Its mission is to nurture cultural exchange and connect future leaders with the change-makers of today. The conference has been organized by a voluntary team of marvelous students from leading UK universities (LSE, Cambridge, Imperial, KCL, UCL, SOAS, etc.) LIMUN 2021 will take place virtually between the 26th and 28th March.

LIMUN is accredited by the United Nations Department of Global Communications and has recently partnered with the UN75 campaign to celebrate the United Nation’s 75th anniversary.

The theme for LIMUN 2021 will be: “Reimagining Global Governance”.

Why this conference?

As the world commemorates the 75th anniversary of the first UN General Assembly, and a century since the inaugural Model League of Nations, the world is positioned at a crossroads. The global governance prospect is increasingly polarized between those who resort to multilateral collaboration and those who pursue nationalist or even isolationist policies. So, to realize the role of global cooperation and rethink the global institutions, policies and actions to move to reimagine global governance, this summit is highly important in hearing from youth and including their voice in the process as major agents of change.
