Opportunity Description

Outstanding students with a Master’s degree in Mathematics who are interested in studying their PhD in Germany can apply to Mathematics in Industry and Commerce (MIC) Ph.D. program.


Duration: 3 years

Location: Kaiserslautern, Germany, the hearth of the European Union

Institution: University of Kaiserslautern which is founded in 1969 one of the young German universities and focuses in natural and engineering sciences.

Level of study: PhD program

Degree awarded:  Dr.rer.nat. (PhD in Mathematics)

Duration: Three years and two months of language preparation for successful applicants of DAAD scholarship

Admission semester: summer or winter


  • For the winter program, July 15th each year 
  • for summer program 15th January each year

Requirements and Eligibility:

  • have an academic background (M.Sc. degree) in mathematics or comparable with high grade
  • Language proficiency: TOEFL (IBT 76, CBT 207, PBT 540), IELTS 6- Certificate or German Language
