The Money Trail Grants are offered for journalists from Africa, Asia, and Europe who are exploring cross-border illicit fiscal flows tax abuse and corruption in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Journalists who are working in the related areas can submit their proposal for the grant.

Closing date: 15 June and 14 September 2020

Result announcement: 30 days after the deadline

Number of winners: 10 applicants

Grant value:

50000 Euros (the grant will be paid through various projects)

Eligibilities:

• The journalist from Asia, Africa, and Europe are eligible for this grants
• The journalist who is cooperating in cross-border regionally in Asia and Africa
• A journalist with a story reflecting an offshore element in the national story where the trail leads to a tax haven in Africa and Asia
• Applicants from European countries who are planning to apply must have cooperated with an African or Asia journalist.
• Journalists who are correspondents in Africa or Asia can take part in local journalists.

• Reflected value on the mainstream of a forgotten story
• Related in society
• Innovative and original ideas and research methods
• Feasibility
• Applicants experience and references
• Salability and newsworthiness
• Work effort requirement
• Cross-border stories, collaboration among colleagues in various countries, knowledge, and research potential.
