Are you a junior researcher or academics with BA, MA, or Ph.D. willing to do a research project in OSCE Academy, you can apply to OSCE Research Scholarships.

About OSCE academy:

OSCE Academy established in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2002 as a public foundation between the government of Kyrgyz and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) promoting values through postgraduate education and professional training in the fields of  “Economic Governance and Development” and “Politics and Security” accepting 60 students each year from Central Asian Countries and Afghanistan. In addition, the academy hosts research fellows, publish articles, and research papers.

About Research Scholarship

Deadline: May 18, 2019

Type of scholarship: Research scholarship

Duration: 7 months (June – December 2019)

Location: Bishkek, Kyrgyz

Scholarship purpose: increasing the research capacity and outputs of the Academy. Scholarship holders are asked to propose a topic in line with the academy mission.

Number of scholarships: 2

OSCE Research scholarship benefits and terms:

  • Monthly stipend of 850-1000 EUR (gross/labor contract-based)
  • Visa and work permit support (if required )
  • Final research paper to be published in one of the academy’s publications series
  • Presentation of research project to an interested audience at the academy
  • Office space and computer
  • Access to all OSCE facilities

NOTE: transport, accommodation, health insurance, and family member expenses are not provided by Scholarship.

 

 Who can apply?

  • Have a BA, MA or PHD and/or record of publications
  • Possess strong English language knowledge
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to clearly identify area of expertise

Required documents:

  • A cover letter
  • CV with two references
  • List of publication if available
  • Research proposal (2-3) pages including research question, methodology, expected outcome, timeline)
