Opportunity Description

The Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences offers a Master’s Degree in Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics to international students for the 2025/26 academic year. Students worldwide can apply to this program as self-financed or DAAD Scholarship applicants.

The Master’s degree in Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics aims to train senior engineers in future information and land management projects. Also, it trains national authorities involved in mapping, land consolidation, photogrammetry, forestry, agriculture, cadastre, rural and urban planning, or environmental monitoring. The Course offers scientific and practical training in photogrammetry, geoinformatics, and remote sensing. The program aims to transfer cutting-edge techniques into practice under various technological conditions.

Throughout the course, students will practice skills ranging from scanning and acquiring digital elevation models and automated aero-triangulation to orthoimage generation, topographic, and thematic mapping. They will also experience dealing with alternative data sources, such as high-resolution remote sensing satellites, radar, and airborne laser scanning, and complete modern photogrammetric education.

The key topics in geoinformatics include acquisition, analysis, storage, retrieval, and display of spatial data, considering Earthʼs physical features and the manufactured environment. Please note that this Master’s program is a full-time research project comprising the elaboration of a Masterʼs thesis within six months concludes the program.
