Submissions are now open for Tamayouz International Graduation Projects worldwide. The prize has been launched by Tamayouz Excellence Award. The aim of this architectural design prize is to honor the excellence in architectural design and education throughout the world and feature excellent architectural patterns to promote and encourage architectural debate for sharing architectural experience and knowledge among young architects and academics. 1st Prize: A two-year MSc Scholarship at the University Polytechnic of Milan + Tamayouz Medal + Certificate.

2nd & 3rd Prizes: A USD1500 Travel Scholarship for seven days to participate in the annual ceremony, including The Award Ceremony, 5 Days Design Workshop. The Scholarship Covers Housing, Flights, and workshop fee for winners.

Objectives of Tamayouz International Award

The award:

  • Aims to honor and appreciate excellence in architectural design and education.
  • Feature young talents and support academics’ efforts to advance architectural education universally.
  • Promote a merit-based culture at an early stage amongst young designers to promote the profession of architecture professionally and academically.
  • Exchange architecture knowledge, ideas, and opinions by facilitating discussions, observation, and sound competition.

Eligibility criteria

  • This award is open to International Students, and students studying anywhere in the world are eligible to participate.
  • All Architecture, Landscape, Urban Planning, Urban Studies, and Architecture Technology students are eligible to apply for the award and submit their graduation projects as long as they are final students in their professions.
  • Individual students and teams can also apply and compete, a far as the submitted entry is final year graduation projects. In this case, only the Team Leader is required to register and provide the names of the rest of the team members.
  • The organizers of the award do not need approval from the universities for their students to participate. All that is needed is evidence that the student is expected to graduate in the definite academic year.
  • Prizes are per entry; for collective entries, prizes will be divided between the team members evenly.

Award rules and regulations

  • This is an international anonymous, single-stage award.
  • All award submissions are to remain unnamed during the process and will only be identified using a registration code assigned by Tamayouz International during the registration process.
  • No entry containing any mark, logo, or other identification or the identity of the individual or any member of their team will be reviewed or evaluated.
  • The identity of the three winners and seven honorable mentions awarded will only be publicized after the jury evaluation period.

Evaluation

An independent international panel will evaluate all entries and will select the winners of the Tamayouz International Award.

Assessment Criteria for 2020
the organizer is looking for aspirational and transformative projects addressing local and global challenges informed by a holistic perception of context.

RELEVANCE:  A declaration of terms that set the contextual factors of the proposal.

RESPONSE:  Ambitious, transformative, and original projects with a programmatic response to existing environmental, social situations, and local challenges.
RESOLUTION:  A clearly stated architectural/urban intent and design vision.
