Opportunity Description

The One World Media (OWM) is accepting applications for the Global Short Docs Forum 2023.

The OWM aims to bring together 16 filmmakers selected from a global call to attend an intensive online training program, one-to-one pitch meetings, and connect with digital media platforms. Participants will benefit from four weeks of masterclasses, workshops, and mentoring.

Applicants from any part of the world, with documentary projects up to 30 mins, with existing footage either in production or post-production, can apply for this call.

The One World Media team will give particular focus to solutions-oriented stories. The stories must be about people with experiences we can learn from and are responding to social problems. Such reports will place 50% of the Forum sets– stories that show us what works and what doesn’t. Also, the focus is on new and diverse voices telling international stories. Films with a social, cultural, or political narrative are exciting films.

The OWM team has opened the Call for Applications with worldwide workshops. This workshop helps filmmakers to develop their projects and to encourage solutions approach. GSDF workshop is a 3-day series of online free events on short documentary storytelling, screenings, and one-to-one consultations worldwide.
