Opportunity Description

The Munster Literature Center offers an opportunity for poets, to bring them together from all over the globe, they provide sponsorship from university college cork, the special place of poetry in the cultural history, and contemporary practical work.

Interested participants who are writing poems in English and wish to meet international poets are highly encouraged to take part and travel to Ireland.

fellowship duties and responsibilities:

  • work in their own writing
  • contributing to the public reading
  • participating in the four-morning poetry masterclass to Cork International Poetry Festival
  • presented 5-credit workshop with the creative writing department of University College Cork
  • the participants are responsible to monitor two poets two hours, per week
  • participants must write a farewell public reading at the Bool Library of University College Cork.

Eligibilities:

  • The participant must be an international poet
  • Participants who write the poem in English
  • Must publish at least two full-length collections of poetry
  • Experienced in teaching or coaching of other writers
  • Required documents:
  • A literary CV in Word format
  • A written letter (explain why you want to work in Cork, and a course outline for the four-morning poetry masterclass)
