Opportunity Description

The WASHI internship program is created to accompany the WASH Section-Results and Resources unit and Innovation Finance Unit. Moreover, the interns are responsible for consolidating the whole UNICEF WASH financing relevant records to build a one-stop-shop for WASH financing knowledge dissemination, communication, and advocacy. Interested applicants who are willing to learn and support the UNICEF WASH program can apply.

Benefits:

  • Interns will access to practical works directly in UNICEF’s work under the direct supervision of qualified UNICEF staff.

  • Applicants will perform their duties remotely and are not needed to travel during their assignment.

Eligibilities:

  • Obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree in the field of economics, finance, public policy, public health, or related field.
  • Hold experience in finance, public-private partnership, SME finance, microfinance, and Wash sector financing issues.
  • Strong communication, content management, and writing ability.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages and share point.
  • Be able to perform his/her duties from the long-distance station.
  • Excellent knowledge of English. Having other UN language skills is an advance.

Required documents:

  • Provide a verification letter from a college or university to prove their enrollments or their two-years of full-time completion of their undergraduate studies.
  • Academic certificate and transcript that shows the intern’s academic performance.
  • Copy of identity card.
  • A recommendation letter with a signature and professional email address.

Living and working conditions:

  • Interns will provide reports for the supervisor of the internship.
  • Internship duties must be performed remotely.
  • Interns are able to take part in the UNICEF meetings and seminars.

Expected Result:

  • Be familiar with UNICEF work on a WASH financing and key reference documents form partners.
  • Synthesized country or regional and global development support of WASH financing initiatives into short summaries.
  • Provide infographics and other graphic materials when required.
  • Landscape scoping support of partner initiatives on WASH financing.
  • WASH financing update page support on the communication site.
  • WASH facilitation and set up support on the coordination site.
  • Coordinate with the knowledge management team to support the ongoing initiatives.
