Opportunity Description

The award-winning Women Deliver Young Leaders Program glues young advocates who are passionate to expand their influence in their communities. The Woman Deliver advocates the work of young individuals struggling for gender equality. Since the start of the program, women deliver has worked with 700 young advocates from over 130 countries to promote and support gender equality and the health and rights of young women and girls since its establishment.

Timing of the Young leaders Program: 2020/2022

The upcoming class of Women Deliver Young Leaders will come together in May 2020 and will access to the program’s people, platforms, and resources. The 2020 class of participants with good performance will also be awarded scholarships to the Women Leaders 2022 Conference, and will then have to join the Woman Deliver Young leaders Alumni Network upon completion of their scholarship.

Who are eligible to apply?

Applicants meeting these requirements are eligible:

  • Be between the ages of 15-28 at the outset of the program (1 May 2020)
  • Have significant proficiency in English
  • Have proper access to internet and email
  • Enjoy access to bank or PayPal accounts for sponsored opportunities

The Young leaders’ program is open to all passionate and optimistic applicants including:

  • From all levels of experience with advocacy activities who have full commitment to promoting grader equality through various means such as policy change, community organizing, media, academia, research, journalism, provision of health care and so on.
  • Whose work is focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights or other gender equality issues, and
  • Whose identity areas: LGBTQIA+; relating to an indigenous community, having a disability, ethnic or religious minorities, suffering from HIV, being displaced forcibly, older adolescents aged 15-19, residing in remote areas, secondary cities, or any other historically ignored populations.
