Eligibility Criteria

You should fulfill these application requirements:

• Applicant’s age must be between 18 and 30 years on 31 December 2024
• Recognizing abilities as an environmental change-maker requires evidence of life experience and achievements.
• Travel to various events is often unaccompanied, necessitating maturity and independence.

Selection Criteria

UNEP experts will review your application. If chosen among the 21 regional finalists, you’ll be asked for additional details, including a brief video presenting your idea. Your profile and concept will then be reviewed by a Jury of esteemed public figures with environmental expertise, who will select seven Young Champions of the Earth, one from each region, based on the following criteria:

• • Alignment with the 2024 focus: ALL FOR NATURE. NATURE FOR ALL.
  • Consider the positive impact on the environment, society, and financial viability.
  • Evaluation of the demonstrated curiosity, courage, and vibrancy.
  • Demonstrated commitment with at least six months of project implementation and tangible results.
  • Endorsement strength from your referee.
