Central South University (CSU) in Changsha China is offering scholarships for international students to pursue their bachelor, Master or doctorate studies at Central South University (CSU). CSU is offering different disciplines such as economics, law, education, science, medicine, engineering, management, literature and etc. CSU scholarships are for non-Chinese students that covers all the expenses.

Degrees supported by CSU

There are different degrees that the applicant can apply for them at CSU. The bachelor degree, Master degree, Doctoral degree and Chinese language training. The duration of degrees are ordered here:

• Undergraduate programs: 4-5 years
• Graduate studies (Master degree): 3 years
• PhD: 4 years
• Chinese language: 1 year

Benefits of scholarship:

There are two types of scholarships offered by the university, full scholarship and partial scholarship.  Full scholarship includes the following expenses:

• Tuition fee
• Medical insurance
• Accommodation (on-campus dormitory)
• Monthly allowance:
  • Bachelor degree: 2000 RMB
  • Master degree: 2500 RMB
  • PhD: 3000 RMB

Partial scholarship includes only the first two item above.

Who is eligible to apply?

• Be national of any country other than China
• Have no-criminal records
• Be in good health
• For Bachelor degree:
  • Have a high school graduation certificate
  • Age: between 18 and 30 years of age
• For Master degree:
  • Have a bachelor degree
  • Be between 18 to 35 years of age
• For PhD:
  • Be between 18- 40 years of age
  • Hold a master degree certificate
• Strong academic background and research capability are required for Postgraduate studies
• HSK 4 score for programs with Chinese language instruction
• English language proficiency for programs taught in English (TOEFL 85, or IELTS 6 is required) if the previous degree was fully instructed in English, TOEFL score might not be required.
• Have received any other scholarship

Required documents:

• Online application form for CSU with your signature and photo (printed file)
• Passport copy ( your passport must be valid more than 6 months at the time of application)
• Recent degree diploma and transcripts obtained
• Copy of Physical examination form along with reports of blood test, ECG and X ray
• Official stamped Certificate of no-criminal commitment
• Bank note copy of ninety dollars application fee (500 RMB)
• English/Chinese language proficiency score
• Statement of not receiving any other scholarship
• Study plan (minimum 800 words), two recommendation letters and published articles or other supporting materials. (only for postgraduate studies)

How to apply:

Applicants can apply online following the steps bellow:

• Pay the application fee of 90 Dollars or 500 RMB
• Provide the required documents
• Apply online using the online application system before the deadline (May 31, 2019
• Send to hard copies of your application to the university

Your application will be evaluated by CSU, if it is necessary, they will invite you for an interview.
