Job Description:

Job Summary

Social Association for Development of Afghanistan (SADA) is recruiting 30 Social Workers whose work will be in Zabul. Interested applicants can read the details below and apply accordingly.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise the accelerated learning centers on a daily basis and report to the project manager.
  • Evaluate the capacity of the students and the teaching methodology of the particular ALC.
  • Regularly organize meetings with the Parents Teachers Associations for sustaining the planned accomplishments of the project.
  • Supervise the efficient distribution of the food items at the site and ensure the proper dissemination of the students’ entitlement and provide feedback to the project manager.
  • Assist with the implementation of the plan of action, review achievements and constraints and give feedback accordingly.
  • Report to the provincial coordinator the project progress and other setbacks if arisen during the project implementation.
  • Perform random quizzes of the students’ capacity at the ALC classes.
  • Identify any obvious issues in the project and report them to the direct supervisor or to the general manager in his absence.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and requirements

Education:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • One year of experience in or related to education projects.

SADA seeks a responsible and reliable Provincial Coordinator/Social Worker with strong initiative, judgment and adaptability as well as exceptional skills in communication, organizational, interpersonal relations, decision-making, and reporting skills.

Specifically, the position holder should also demonstrate the following:

  • Proficiency in computer software MS Office etc.
  • Reporting writing skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult, often challenging work circumstances.

  • Competent to work with great levels of autonomy and able to meet tight deadlines.

  • Creative in conceptual and analytical thinking.
  • Sensitivity to gender issues.
  • Fluent in Dari, Pashto, and English (written and spoken).
