The Embassy of IRoA in Bangaladesh has heralded that the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC’s) Islamic Technology University,  awards partially-funded scholarships at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels for the academic year of 2020-2021 in Bangladesh. These scholarships are offered to eligible applicants on an open and competitive basis.

Eligibilities

Applicants should meet the eligibility criteria below and provide the documents to qualify for the scholarships:

  • For an undergraduate degree, applicants’ high school graduation percentage should be at least 70%;
  • For master and Ph.D. degree, applicants’ grade percentage should be 65% or above;
  • High school students should have graduated between the years 1394 and 1398;
  • Should be proficient in English;
  • Should have an electronic passport;
  • The starting date of the first semester is anticipated to be late January 2021; and
  • In the event the Covid-19 pandemic persists, the teaching will take place distantly and online;

How to apply?

Interested applicants are requested to visit the Ministry of Higher Education’s General Reception Booth (21th booth) in person before 25 December 2020 to receive the required documents.

Required documents to have with yourselves:

  • Original high school graduation document “Shahadatnama” for an undergraduate degree.
  • Bachelor and master’s degree educational documents for master and Ph.D. degrees respectively;
  • Your ID Card/Tazkira

It is also worth mentioning that the Islamic Technology University, Bangladesh annually awards 4 to 5 partially-funded scholarships to master and doctoral applicants from each OIC Member Country in the following study fields:

  • Technical and technology engineering;
  • Technical education; and
  • High diploma in technical science

Note: in case applicants do not intend to secure the scholarships as the designated number, their share will be divided to applicants from other OIC Member Countries.
