About the award

Submissions are now open for the Energy Globe Awards 2021. EGA is the world’s most prestigious award for sustainability, which is awarded to the most innovative and compelling projects and/or technologies aligned with the goal and categories of the award. Therefore, the purpose of the ENERGY GLOBE Award is to present successful sustainable projects on a global stage and to show that for most of our environmental challenges, feasible solutions are already available.

For the year 2021, innovative projects and smart technologies from all over the world are welcome.

• In each participating country, the best project receives the National Energy Globe Award. This winning project receives the award in the global online platform of Energy Globe and also in the national media.
• Winning projects for each of the award categories will receive a cash award.
• The greatest projects will win celebration in a ceremony that will be broadcast worldwide and featured in the international media.
• Energy Globe Award can connect the winners to investors should they show interest.

Categories

The award rewards five categories, such as Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Youth, for which projects can be submitted.

Eligibility criteria

• Every individual, private or public institution, company, NGO, the individual or public authority that contributes to climate change and other environmental issues can submit one or multiple project(s).
• It is looking for innovative projects that offer solutions to air, soil, and water pollution, apply renewables and augment energy efficiency, manifest sustainable use of our planet’s resources, and contribute to environmental knowledge.
• Participation is free and open to all projects that can save our environment and contribute to its suitability.
• Also, projects that focus on awareness creation in the above—mentioned areas would be eligible to participate.
• And, a project can be submitted in any country, regardless of whether it has been awarded a project before.

Evaluation

An international jury comprising of about 30 energy and environmental experts judge each project based on different criteria.

First, it chooses Energy Globe national award winners on a country level and presents it in their respective country.
Next, the best projects from each country are nominated for the Energy Globe World Award (international awards), which is presented in 5 different categories as above.
