Opportunity Description
The Obama Foundation is delighted to announce 25 unique opportunities for young and talented leaders to acquire a Master of Arts degree in International Development and Policy (MA-IDP) in the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and obtain a fully-funded Scholarship that not only covers all the expenses of studying, travel and accommodation but also provides you to do additional programming beyond the school. This would lead you to a new vision and enthusiasm to make a positive impact on your profession and society.
Extra curriculum Activities
The program includes more than just university courses, the participants ought to attend extra-curriculum experiments designed by the Obama Foundation to increase their leadership potential along with university classes to help people upon arriving at their home country. It includes a one-week leadership program prior to university courses in Chicago.

Who can apply?
Potential leaders from across the globe with the following qualifications can apply to this program:
- Having work experience of 3 to 5 years with specific achievements
- Evidence of community service or voluntary work for the development of society either full time or overtime
- Have a clear vision toward a world-wide dilemma or policy issue
- Return to home and serve the community with the skills learned from the program.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Possible candidates need to fill out the online application for the Harris MA-IDP degree and the Obama Foundation Scholarship. Also they need to submit the following documents in order to get their application considered:
- All Unofficial University or Institute of Higher Education Transcripts (Although, for admission, you will need to present the official copies)
- Foreign Language Test Scores (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS)
- Other Standard academic tests: e.g. GRE but it is not necessary.
- Current resume indicating details of previous job experience (3-5 years), community service, professional honors, and any other relevant information.
- Three Recommendation Letters (At least one Academic from your professor)
- Two Short Essays describing your current work and volunteer activity and the impact you want to have on the world
- Motivation letter (300 words)
