The Matsumae International Foundation provides a research opportunity for participants with a Ph.D. degree. Moreover, this fellowship is allocated for non-Japanese citizens who are not live there for a long time. Additionally, participants will be supported financially by MIF. Host institution:

• The selection of hosting institutions is option and free; participants can choose any university, national research institution, or corresponding facilities in private sectors in Japan.

Fellowship benefits:

• Tuition fee, research costs, and living expenses about 220000 JPY.

• Initial costs about 120000 JPY

Eligibilities:

• Participants must not have Japanese citizenship.
• Hold an invitation letter from the host institute.
• Must complete his/her Ph.D. degree or equivalent qualification.
• His/her age should be under 49 years.
• Excellent skills in the English language or Japanese.
• Participants should not have traveled to Japan. (except for a short time).
• Must work in his/her home country and committed to returning after fellowship completion.
