The Sunhak Peace Prize was established to continue the legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, and is awarded biannually in recognition of individuals and organizations that have made lasting contributions to help resolve worldwide suffering, conflict, poverty and threats to the environment, by promoting a comprehensive, future-oriented vision of peace. The Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation is located in Seoul, South Korea.

Furthermore, the Sunhak Peace Prize, which pursues the creation of peace for the future generations of the global community, recognizes the efforts of those who work to heal the suffering and destruction that exist worldwide and build a comprehensive, future-oriented vision of peace.
