Swinburne University of Technology (also called Swinburne) is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia. Its foundation dates back to 1908 as the Eastern Suburbs Technical College by George Swinburne with the aim of serving those without access to further education in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
