The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) launched in 1963. UNITAR aims to provide training and empower young diplomats from newly-independent UN Member States with updated knowledge and skills. Moreover, UNITAR offers innovative learning solutions to individuals, organizations, and instructions to provoke international decision-making and support country-level action for shaping a better future. Additionally, the UNITAR training covers capacity building activities to help developing countries with particular attention to the least developed countries.
